Survivors include his three sons, SSgt Allen “Chris” (Sharon) Worple, Hunter Army Airfield, Pooler, Ga., Jonathan “Matt” (Karen) Worple and Joe “Toby” (Jamie) Worple, New Hampton seven grandchildren, Katelyn, Justin, Cameron, Zoe, Jordon and He loved working in his flower gardens, sharing the beauty with everyone to enjoy. Life-long hobbies were his family and friends and remodeling and redecorating older homes. Lavern was president of the Tama/Toledo Chamber of Commerce and a 4th Degree Knight of St. He was also actively involved in real estate. Owner of Super Eight Motel of Toledo, receiving many awards for excellence.

At the time of his death, Lavern was part of Illinois and Iowa for several years, followed by Paris and Sons of Manchester. He was baptized, received Holy Communion and was confirmed in theĪfter graduating from high school, Lavern attended business college in Des Moines. He attended Elma Public School and is a graduate of Cresco High School, Cresco.

In life Lavern was born April 21, l952 to Levern (Vern) and Dolores (Kaatz) Worple in Elma. Will also be one hour prior to the service at the church in Elma. and a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7 p.m. at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home New Hampton, with a Scriptural Wake Service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will be Friday, March 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at Immaculate Conception Church, Elma, with Reverend Raymond Atwood as celebrant.īurial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Elma.
